It’s now been close to 1 year since Donald Trump imposed significant tariffs around the world. Initially, we saw a significant hesitation in most industries within Canada to increase capital spending BUT, in ALL of my discussions with our suppliers, Truck dealers and vacuum tank manufacturers, activity has come back very strong in last 90 days. In a few days we turn the calendar to March, when days get longer, temperatures rise and our industry really starts ramping up for the active months ahead. In the last few months our Canadian Dollar has gained strength against the USD making many of our US sourced products less expensive. Freight companies are aggressively quoting freight estimates which again supports lower prices. So our prices are down and at this point there are NO INBOUND TARIFFS on Mobile Vacuum Equipment into Canada.

2 years ago, Louis Robitaille with a company called Sani-Manic Cote Nord located in Sept-Iles, Quebec called to check pricing and availability on a Cusco TurboVac. Price was good, availability immediate, but what about service at their location. As Mr. Gauthier, pictured on right and owner of Sani-Manic Cote Nord clearly states, ”SERVICE EST TRES TRES IMPORTANT!!!”.
Well...Sturgeon Tank, partnered with Jack Doheny Supplies (Who have now opened Vacuum Trucks of Canada for the Canadian Market), is very proud to have this picture taken June 9, 2012, of all the trucks ordered from us since then and we are just as proud of our service record and support of those trucks!!
